Musician, Composer, Teacher

Dan began formal classical piano lessons at age 5.  At age 12, he picked up the guitar and began teaching himself to play, starting with classic rock tunes of the seventies.  In 1981 he enrolled at the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts (Philadelphia, PA) for two years before going on tour with a Top 40 band.  He spent the next 30 years working in a variety of bands including Jazz Fusion and Progressive Rock.  In 1988, Dan began working with Mark Schultz (Producer/Writer), co-writing and producing several TV themes for Nickelodeon.  Dan and Mark still enjoy a working partnership to this day, providing music and sound design for many corporate clients.

In 2005, Dan was brought on board as a staff composer at Concentrix Music & Sound Design (Charlotte, NC) and provided underscore for the children’s program Raggs (Australia), and music tracks for Wells Fargo.

After relocating to Charlotte in 2006, Dan began teaching private piano & guitar lessons.  Since 2012 Dan has enjoyed playing solo gigs at local breweries, restaurants, and vineyards.
